Q: How would you describe your brand and the products you offer?

A: “Roots and Leaves is a woman owned herbal and wellness company that sources organic, wild-crafted, and high-quality botanical ingredients to support natural health and vitality. Our signature Elderberry and Honey Tonic harnesses the immune-supportive power of elderberries combined with 11 other immune supporting herbs, while our second most popular product Magnesium Body Butter offers a soothing, nourishing way to replenish the body’s magnesium mineral levels.

We also offer carefully formulated teas, herbal tinctures, organic skincare and other plant-based products to help individuals embrace the benefits of nature in their daily self-care routines, honoring time-tested herbal traditions every step of the way.”

Q: Tell us a little about your journey. When did you start Roots and Leaves, and what drives your passion in this industry?

A: "I’m Haley, owner and herbalist at Roots and Leaves. I founded the business in 2017 while on my healing journey from Lyme disease. When Western medicine offered limited options, I turned to herbal remedies, began studying to become an herbalist, and ultimately left my corporate job in human resources to create our Elderberry Tonic.

What started as a personal immune support soon gained traction among friends, family, and even a local health food store—leading us to where we are today. Holistic wellness has transformed my life and is at the heart of everything we do. I love being part of this industry and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs who share my passion for creating high-quality products that support healthier, happier lives. "

Q: What do you love the most about what you do at Roots and Leaves??

A: “I’m constantly creating new products that are potent, clean, and effective. So far, I’ve developed and launched 26 products, with many more in the works. Bringing the next herbal remedy from concept to reality is by far my favorite part of the business.

However, nothing compares to hearing from a customer who experienced real, life-changing results. Waking up to an email from someone who took the time to say “thank you” makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

Q: What do you love about working with Wizard Labels?

A: "I love so many things about working with Wizard Labels! Their labels are exceptional—some of our customers even run our glass jars through the dishwasher, and the labels still look as good as new. Q: What are your favorite label materials to use for your products and why?

A: "White BOPP, Plastic permanent with a matte finish all the way! They are thick, sturdy and amazing quality! "

Q: What advice would you give to others choosing labels for the first time?

A: “I always order 5,000 plus labels at a time because you save so much money when ordering in larger quantities.

When I am creating multiple products, I think ahead to packaging and label size so that they can all have the same dimensions for labels so it is easier for me to meet the 5,000 quantity amount when I can mix and match the labels.”
